Manufacturer Profile standard v1

One small JSON file on your own domain tells buyers' AI agents what your factory makes. The format is open: any directory, marketplace or agent may read it, and any factory may publish it. It is free to use and implement.

Where it lives

https://your-domain/.well-known/manufacturer.json, served over https, ideally as application/json, at most 200 KB. All URLs inside the file must be https on the same domain, so a file can never point buyers to someone else.

How Vibe Manufacturing uses it

Our crawler reads the file when it visits your site, and the checker can ask us to read it right away.
A valid profile counts as evidence you published yourself: your processes, materials, certifications and contact details appear in the directory, in our MCP and REST interfaces, and in the open data.
Companies with a valid profile get the agent-ready mark, a higher trust score and a small ranking boost in matching. The score is computed from checkable facts only; it is not a review.
We do not verify certificates. Buyers should ask for the certificate itself.

Versioning and feedback

This is version 1. New optional fields can be added without breaking existing files; a breaking change would be a new version at a new schema URL. Suggestions for fields buyers' agents need are welcome at go@vibe-manufacturing.com.
