SendCutSend vs Xometry

Short answer: Use SendCutSend if your part can be cut from flat sheet and bent. Use Xometry if it needs milling, turning, thicker stock, plastics or molding.

How to decide

Look at your part. If you can draw it as a flat outline with bend lines, it is a sheet metal part and a sheet-metal specialist is usually the faster, cheaper route. If it has pockets, threads in thick material or curved 3D surfaces, you need machining.

What to check on both

Upload the same file to both and compare price, lead time, material options and finish options. Read every manufacturability warning before you order.

Our suggestion

Prototype in plastic first, then order a single metal part from whichever service matches the geometry. See the playbook steps on checking manufacturability and sending it out.
